Bunn family photograph - Henry Alfred Bunn

Henry Alfred Bunn (1827-1905) was the father of Marion Harley Bunn, who married into the Smiley family. Henry was born in Birmingham, England, arrived in South Australia in 1848, moved to Victoria, married Margaret Wilson in 1860 and set up a general produce shop at their home in Hotham Street, St Kilda. Later Henry and Margaret's father established a business in High Street, St Kilda. Henry and Margaret had 7 sons and 3 daughters and established a tradition of family gatherings. Henry drowned in the Yarra River in 1905, when he was aged 78.
